Records, mainly 1979-1981, of the Solar Energy Resource Association, a non-profit membership organization formed in 1978 to promote solar energy technology in Wisconsin for the Mid-America Solar Energy Complex and the U.S. Department of Energy. Later the organization turned to information referral, lobbying, publication of the "Wisconsin Solar News," conferences, and other project-oriented activities before dissolving from lack of funding in 1982.

The Wisconsin Council on Natural Beauty was created by Chapter 575, Laws of 1965, to educate and motivate public and private agencies to preserve Wisconsin's natural beauty.
